Everyone is welcome to come along and get creative!
Art meets Science! Make prints with light:
Borders Hearing Care will be set up a like a laboratory, with UV nail lamps, magnifying glasses and light sensitive paper. Visitors will be invited to get inventive and create small-scale magical cyanotypes with seeds and natural materials which can be examined with magnifying glasses. Choose some curious objects, arrange them on the paper, expose to UV light then rinse! You will have fun, learn about the process and go home with some amazing blue prints.
Lantern making using glass jars:
The large back room at Untangled Yarns will be transformed into a crafting space for lantern making using recycled jam jars. A whole variety of inspiring materials will be available that are translucent and coloured. Decorate your jars to create colourful lanterns for your home and bring a cosy glow to the darkening evenings.
