We will also make some art using things we find in nature. Working with Artist Lara Greene of Transform Arts CIC your children will be supported to try creating something unusal and have a creation or two to take home and be proud of. Suitable for children age 7+ (or those leaving P4). Younger children may apply but are less likely to gain a place.
Get into Summer Programme
- The Get into Summer programme of events is supported through funding from the Scottish Government and aims to offer children and young people across the Borders an unprecedented variety of activities that allows them to re-engage with their communities and socialise following a challenging period during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The programme of events have been organised by Scottish Borders Council, Live Borders, YouthBorders and a range of other partners.
- A range of COVID-19 measures will be in place and undertaken by all to ensure that the events take place as safely as possible. All activities and venues have been fully risk-assessed and public health measures including social distancing, the wearing of face coverings and hand sanitising stations will be used to ensure the safety of all young people, volunteers and staff.
- The Get into Summer campaign has been specifically designed to allow children and young people from all backgrounds to access activities during the summer period and ensure that costs are not a barrier to taking part and getting involved.
