Screen Printing Course

Creativity is good for us!   This course is for anyone who is looking for ways to feel good and improve their mental health, whatever challenges you have.  We invite you to get creative and express yourself in a supportive, safe and friendly space.   Join us for this exciting screen printing course with Lara over 5 weeks, suitable for complete beginners as well as people with previous experience. These will be fun, non-judgemental sessions where we can free up creativity and explore printmaking.  Working with black or coloured inks you will create your own unique effects and designs. We will start off by making paper cut out templates to resist ink, then integrate other materials to create texture and shapes. You will learn to layer colours and work towards some more ambitious prints, You will be using water-based inks on fabric, which can be heat set to become permanent. These can be pieces of fabric that are framed as art, or it could be a bag or a t-shirts or something else. The Course is FREE and is open to those age 16+ who feel their well-being could benefit from getting creative. Support workers/Carers welcome, just let us know if you are bringing someone. It is aimed at those who may not normally take part in an art course, either due to finances or needing to be in a safe space.
